ECHOCARDIOGRAM

ECHOCARDIOGRAM

An echocardiogram is typically done in a doctor’s office or hospital bed but can now be performed in the comfort of the patient’s own home!

Rapid X’s board-certified nursing staff will safely and gently attach sticky patches, known as electrodes, to the skin to help detect the electrical currents of the heart, producing images and reports that are then sent immediately to the patient’s doctor.

Examinations can be done bed-side in the comfort of the patient’s own home while reports are sent directly to doctors for diagnostic review.

WHAT IS AN ECHOCARDIOGRAM?

In this procedure, an echo uses sound waves to create pictures of the heart’s chambers, valves, walls and the blood vessels (aorta, arteries, veins) attached to the heart. These images are then reviewed by a doctor to help determine if a heart condition is present.
