  • Rapid X’s board-certified technicians and nursing staff will expertly instruct the patient to sit, stand, or lie down properly to obtain quality x-ray images, which will then be sent immediately and electronically for the doctor to review.
  • In-home x-ray examinations can be performed in the following areas: Head, Chest, Spine, Abdomen, Hand, Foot, Shoulder

WHAT IS AN X-RAY?

X-Ray exams are ordered by your physician to diagnose medical conditions in the chest, bone, sinuses, skull or spine. X-Ray Technology is the fastest, easiest, and most common way to evaluate broken bones, pneumonia, and other basic tests.

There is no special preparation required for most x-rays. Once the technician arrives, he will instruct you in which position to stand, sit, or lay down in order to get the right results. It is necessary to remove jewelry, eyeglasses and any metal objects that may obscure the images.

The amount of radiation generated during an X-ray is minimal and there is no need to worry about the exposure. However, if you are pregnant or suspect that you may be, you should tell your physician or our technologist before the test is performed as special precautions may have to be taken.
